I was wanting some opinions on die cutters, I am relatively new to card making, still in the beginners stage, but would like to get a die cutter. Is the cuttlebug the best one to start with? Is it any good?

Whoa, get the Sizzix Big Kick (or Big Shot- same machine) over the Cutterbug. The Big Kick is a much better machine. It can cut vellum, metal, basal wood and any kind of cardstock. It can cut any one elses dies. The Cuttlebug can not take the long 12″ dies that are out now. I have used Spellbinders, Quickutz and Cuttlebug dies in my Sizzix machine. Sizzix can cut much larger dies than the Cuttlebug.
I have been scrapbooking for over 10years and my sister works in a scrapbook store.
I will agree the Cuttlebug embossing folders are great. I use them with ease in my Sizzix machine
I personally like the cuttlebug because it is very easy to use and its easy to use other brand dies in it! Also the cuttlebug dies seem to be the least expensive. Also I LOVE the embossing background folders for the cuttlebug for cardmaking http://www.cricut.com/messageboard/photo…
