If you’re looking for a frugal way to create your next layouts, you’ve come to the right place! I have put together a list of places where you can get some really cheap scrapbooking supplies.
Don’t Miss Those Sales
Every single scrapbook store, either online or local, have cheap scrapbooking supplies for sale at discounted prices. You have to keep your eyes open, but you are guaranteed to find some great deals.
If you don’t have time to access your favorites sites everyday, consider setting up a google alert for term like “scrapbooking sale”, “discount scrapbooking supplies” and so on.
Subscribe to Coupon Mailing Lists
One of the best ways to get coupons is to join a mailing. Members of scrapbooking-die-cutters newsletter can find discounts for big online stores such as Scrapbook.com and A Cherry On Top. You can join by entering your email address on the form to the right or below this post.
Trades and Swaps
Have you ever considered trading with a friend? If your friends are anything like you and me, they probably have tons of unused items in their stashes. Get together, throw a scrapbooking party, bring your excess supplies and trade away! The only thing better than cheap scrapbooking supplies are free supplies!
Wholesale, Baby!
Just like with any other type of merchandise, with scrapbooking supplies and get better prices when you buy in bulk. There are many wholesalers that sell online, and these are some of my favorites:
- Scrapbooking Supplies Online
- Holly’s Wholesale Scrapbooking Supplies
- Scrapbooks Wholesale
- ScrappersClub at Yahoo! Groups
This is a great group for anyone who wants to get some real bargains. The concept is really interesting: one you join, you can in touch with fellow scrapbookers who are also looking for cheap scrapbooking supplies. Everyone can contribute to a list of wants and needs and, once there are enough items, they place an order with wholesalers. That way you get cheaper rates than at you local scrapbook supply store. Members can also post specials, bargains, swaps, and trades of their own or others they have found to help each other save money.
Use Non-Traditional Items
You don’t have to buy your scrapbooking supplies at expensive craft stores. It’s amazing how many embelishments we can find laying around our house, if we look for them. From wrapping papers, to tags, ribbons, buttons and beads, there are tons of items that can be used to create beautiful scrapbooks.
I hope you enjoyed these tips and remember to keep your eyes peeled for bargains that pop-up everywhere!
