I’ve never used a die cutter but I believe one can be used for my purpose.
I have 8.5″ x 11″ sheets of this special paper that’s about the same thickness as construction paper and I want to perforate shapes onto it so it can later be ran through a printer and the shapes can be popped out.
Any idea how to do this? Is there any die cutter that will allow me to make the template for the shapes on the computer and feed the paper through it, with the final product being a custom perforated sheet?
Thanks!
First you need to find a die that only perforates – not cuts. Then find a machine that it’s compatible with. It might be easier to print the sheet first and cut it afterwards. I know some digital cutters will allow you to draw on the sheet first then using special marks – can line up the cutting blade with the shapes you’ve made. (Silhouette)
