Is There A Big Differece Between The Cricut And A Quickutz Silouhette Craft Machine?

Unfamiliar with both but would like to get something to cut vinyl letters with.

    Main difference
    Cricut uses cartridges only
    Silouhette can hook up to a computer.
    The Cricut Expression will cut vinyl. and I believe it is cheaper than the Silouhette.
