Die cutting machines reviews and resources
I am thinking about purchasing a die cutter, can anyone give me feedback on the Cuttlebug? Do you like it? Is it easy to use?
Thanks!
I initially purchased the cuttlebug, didn’t open the package and returned everything in exchange for the small Cricut cutter. The Cuttlebug (although way less expensive than the Cricut) had limitations. You can only use the dies specifically designed for use for their product. Purchasing many of the dies over time becomes a costly endeavor, which was why I ended up returning it & buying the small Cricut (Both are made by the same mfg. http://www.provocraft.com).
The Cuttlebug (used my friends) was very easy to use, but it will only cut with the specific die that you use.
The Cricut on the other hand, had a broader assortment of shapes and letters that I can cut and use (only up to 4 cartridges is needed for a great assortment of shapes and letters). It’s a very good tool if you’re really into scrapbooking. If not, the Cuttlebug is just as good. Just know that it has it’s limitations, however, it’s not as expensive as the Cricut.
Here’s a couple websites to consider. They have good prices too:

Hope this gives you a little insight. Best wishes on your choices & Happy New Year!
It has a learning curve to it. I really think they should offer lessons on it. My sister teaches cuttelbug lesson in Ohio. She loves hers. You really have to sit down and play with it and get use to it. You can easily put the blade and paper in wrong. It is a wonderful machine, but don’t expect to sit down and use it right off the bat.
Ok, let me totally re write that answer. I was thinking of the Cricut by the same company.
The Cuddlebug has wonderful die cuts and embossing folders. But for the machine, buy the Sizzix Big Shot or Big Kick. It will cut all Cuddlebug, Quickutz, Spellbinders and of course Sizzix dies and embossing plates. It is a better machine and will allow you to do more.
Yes these manual die cut machines are easy to use.
I don’t have one, but I found some reviews online that might help you make an informed decision. Overall, people really seem to like them.http://www.amazon.com/review/product/B00…
