Crop A Dile or Crop A Dile Big Bite: Which Is The Best Eyelet Tool?

Do you know that the Crop A Dile is perfect if you have lots of eyelets and end up not using them because you don’t have a convenient, stress-free method of setting them? Those kits with a little hammer and a setting tool are neither efficient or easy to use, specially if you have arthritis in your hands – or any other condition that affects what you can squeeze.

Luckily “We R Memory Keepers” has the Crop a Dile: it is hands-down the easiest eyelet tool ever. It will punch the hole for you and can also set the eyelet, with no noise!

Original Crop A Dile

This is the original Crop A Dile: it’s small, versatile and easy to use. It lets you punch holes and set eyelets with one tool, no hammer needed! Watch a demonstration video below:

Crop A Dile II Big Bite

While the original Crop A Dile is a great tool, you might need to punch a hole that may be farther in than a regular hole punch would reach. For instance, if you do scrapbooking, you may have had an occasion to wish for a tool that would reach into the center of the page. The “Big Bite” version of the Crop a Dile will let you do that. The Big Bite is a bit heavier but it can punch and set eyelets into the middle of a page if you need it too.

Also, if you have arthritis or some other condition that prevents you from squeezing hard, you may also find the Crop A Dile Big Bite easier to use.

As you can see in the video above, specially if you have arthritis or very small hands, the Crop A Dile Big Bite would actually be easier to use, because you don’t actually squeeze it, but rather push down on it. It is very user friendly scrapbookers love it’s ease and ability to work silently and punch holes through just about anything!

The Costumer’s Choice: The Original Crop A Dile Or The Crop A Dile Big Bite?

“I fell and broke my right wrist last fall, surgery and therapy and I still don’t have much of a grip. I use the Big Bite for a lot of stuff I used to use hole punches for. Brads, eyelets etc. It has two sizes of hole punch and can go anywhere on a 12 x 12 page.”
Paige

“I have both of the Crop-A-Diles (the regular one and the Big Bite) and I absolutely LOVE them. I use them for all of my eyelet setting and I have been making the small legal pad covers (matchbook style) and using the Big Bite to punch holes along the top of the pads for ribbon and it is so easy. I also broke (shattered is a better term) my wrist and broke the other arm too (elbow) at the same time and I have no trouble at all with either crop-a-dile.”
Tammy

“I have a neuromuscular disease that causes my hands to be very weak – and I love my Crop-A-Dile Big Bite! I also really like the “no pounding noise” aspect of it, and that it can reach into the middle of a large sheet of paper…. it’s a great tool.”
Cindy

“I too have hand trouble due to an auto accident. Hands down, my Crop A Diles (both the original and the Big Bite) are my favorite. I am actually selling my other eyelet tools because I don’t use them!”
Kristin

“I have lots of different eyelet tools and my favorite is the Crop A Dile. It is so easy to use! I use the Big Bite when needed and the original when I don’t need such a big bite. I have arthritis in my hands and fibromyalgia so ease of use is a big plus for me. I also have a husband who hates loud noises when he’s trying to watch tv, so the silence of the tool is another big plus. Another great thing about the Crop A Diles is that they punch through just about anything so easily that it’s really pretty amazing.”
LeeAnn from NC

“Definitely the Crop-a-Dile: the hand-held for those places no more than a couple of inches from the edge, and the Big Bite for the ones that can be as much as 6″ from the edge. The original is fabulous and can do a lot of other things besides.”
