After watching this video, I decided to try the markers on a cart that does NOT have a shadow or blackout feature. For example, I was somewhat disappointed that LAB does not have those features. But, if I use the marker, on say the title “Whale of a Time,” and then Load Paper and Repeat Last with the cutting blade, it leaves a tiny bit of outline around each cut, and it looks awesome–like a sliver of a shadow. I compared a plain cut with a cut with marker outline. Amazing difference!
