If you are into scrapbooking you probably have already heard of Becky Higgins Project 365 — also known as “Project Life”. It’s meant to encourage people to document each day of the year through scrapbooking. Obviously you could this on your own, but most people find it a daunting task to come up with unique layout concepts everyday — let alone the spent crafting a page from the scratch! This is where Project Life scrapbooking kit comes into play.

Project Life is a solution for displaying your favorite photos. This revolutionary way of “scrapbooking” takes away the pressure of making creative scrapbook pages. We’re going back to the basics: Photos and stories. That’s what it’s all about. Everything in this kit is already designed for you so that all you have to do is add your personal photographs and short stories and anecdotes from your life. There is no cutting, no pasting, no painting or distressing. Of course you can always add your own creativity, but it is designed so that you don’t have to.
What People Are Saying About Becky Higgins Project 365

I LOVE Project Life! It makes documenting everyday life and all the celebrations that go with it so much easier and way less time consuming than traditional scrap-booking. I think of it as a cross between a photo album and a creatively made scrapbook. While it has elements of a scrapbook in the colorful journaling cards and dividers, the format gives you the simplicity of an album. Once you set it up, all you have to do is slip your pictures in the slots and add a note for each. If you like to add more of your own touches, it allows for that as well. This truly has changed the way I record my memories and I find that I’m more vigilant about that now, because this kit makes it so easy. Thanks, Becky Higgins!!

Becky Higgins is amazing. I have been a fan of hers since 2000 and even got the chance to meet her at a scrapbooking convention in 2006. I received this product last week and I’m so excited about it. All you have to do is print photos, stick them in their slots (like a regular photo album) and then jot down a sentence or two about the photo. There are even decorative cards if the photo speaks for itself and you have nothing to say! It is super-easy scrapbooking without messing with adhesive (which, aside from planning the layout (for me), is the most time-consuming part of scrapbooking) and the end result is so pretty! The design of the kit is timeless, and as I’m putting it together I love to imagine my grandchildren looking through the book and seeing what the year 2010 was all about. I have photos of my grandparents, but no stories except what I was told. This is such an easy way to preserve “now”.
I meant to take a photo a day, but I’ve been quite lax. Oftentimes I’ve looked back over my day at the end of it and wished I had taken a photo of something. I know this will improve as the year goes on, and if it doesn’t, it doesn’t matter! I can use each 2-page spread to document the highlights of a month. If something important happens (my friend is getting married in August, for example) I can use those extra pages to highlight important events! It is totally versatile and I love it.
I will always like “traditional” scrapbooking, but this is something new I’m excited to experience.
